About Joseph
Joseph Ori is the founder of Ori Law Group and has practiced personal injury and medical malpractice law in Illinois for more than 25 years. He divides his practice equally between medical malpractice and general personal injury, representing seriously injured people and grieving families in Illinois state and federal courts.
Joe earned his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1996, completed his undergraduate education at Columbia University, and attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. He has been licensed to practice in Illinois since 1997 and is also admitted in Arizona.
Joe is active throughout the trial bar. He is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association — where he has served on the Board of Managers for more than a decade — along with the Illinois State Bar Association, the Federal Trial Bar, the National Brain Injury Society, the Justinian Society of Lawyers, and the Fenwick Bar Association. He has been selected to Illinois Super Lawyers each year from 2013 through 2026.
